Preparing a download page for the official releases

Jacopo Cappellato-3
Now that we are going to publish our first official release, we have to implement a download page following the guidelines here:

http://www.apache.org/dev/release-download-pages.html

Are there volunteers to help create this page?
The DOWNLOAD button on the OFBiz main page will point to this new page, so we also have to rethink our current "download" screen.

Kind regards,

Jacopo

Please have a look at the draft that I have put together:

http://ofbiz.apache.org/download.html

(it should be published soon, but of course no links are pointing at it right now).

Thanks Jacopo,

Looks good to me. I just don't understand the Mirrors section. I guess it's not finished yet?

Yes, it is not working... there is a script (download.cgi) that should prepare the variables for that section but it doesn't seem to work... I will have to investigate further.

I just barely read http://www.apache.org/dev/release-download-pages.html
I guess it's related?

Yes, exactly, I am following this notes. Now I have committed a working version following the simpler approach described there; it should be ok now.

Thanks,

Jacopo
