Problem in MRP

Pal Infocom Technologies-2
Hello All,

We are facing a problem in creating requirements for raw material. We
have set the Requirement Method Enum Id as 'Requirement for order when ATP
Reaches Minimum Stock for Product Facility' and set the Minimum Stock and
Reorder Quantity and Days to Ship through Product---->Facilities tab. Now
after running MRP through Manufacturing Inventory Event is planned. but we
didn't find any entry for Requirements in Order---> Requirements tab.

Please suggest any solution to this problem.

the above is not required when you use MRP

What is the content of the MRP log screen? Do you have inventory on
hand for that product? What OFBiz version are you using?

Cheers,

Jacopo

Re: Problem in MRP

Pal Infocom Technologies-2
Hi Jacopo

In MRP Log, application automatically assigns the Job Id , Job name. but after we refresh that page it fails that mrp by dsiplaying its Status Id as "failed"

but if i want to see the Inventory events it displays the follwing data :

Type                                     Desc                    Date              Qty.            Total

[RubberBasket]  Raw material ]  Facility: 10030                                                                                     4550
                                                Minimum Stock: 5507
                                                Reorder Quantity: 1000
                                                Days To Ship:

Manufacturing Order requirement                                             10147-10148     2009-08-18 16:23:26.    -30         4520

where rubber basket is the raw material for finished good - basket ball, minimum stock , reorder qty. are the values set through Product--> Facility tab. Unable to understand how is it taking the Manufactuing Order requirement values.

Also please help that how will requirements be created under Order Module --> Requirements for raw material when it will reach its minimum stock.

We are using current version of Ofbiz - 9.04

Looking for your advise

Thanks and regards,

If it fails, then the data that you see in the screen doesn't belong
to this run, but to the last successful one.
I'd suggest to look at the OFBiz log and see what is the error thrown
there when the MRP fails... if you can send the relevant portion of it
I may have a look at it

Re: Problem in MRP

Pal Infocom Technologies-2

Hi Jacopo

I have created a sales order and scheduled a sales shipment for that order after approval of order requirement created under Order Manager -->Requirements and Shipment Plan created under Manufacturing --> Shipment Plan which is absolutely fine, but on click , Shipment Id throws exception.

After that I did Bom simulation and exploded the BOM for product id basket ball (finished good whose sale order for qty= 6000.). Now the raw material required to produce was not sufficient in inventory then I  then check the requirements through Order Manager, if requirements would have automatically created to purchase the raw material required to produce the basket ball. but I didn't find any requirement. Then I run MRP for facility(having common facility for raw material and finished good). It was pending. but when i again refresh the page it failed and throw  following exception at ofbiz log

Re: Problem in MRP

Jacopo Cappellato-4
Hi,

unfortunately the log you sent is not what we need.

Please search in you log a line similar to:

ServiceDispatcher.java:607:INFO ] [[ASync service started...- total:
0.0,since last(Begin):0.0]] - 'manufacturing / executeMrp'

and then send the errors that you see happening from there on.

Jacopo

Re: Problem in MRP

Pal Infocom Technologies-2
Hi Jacopo

It doesn't throw any exception at ofbiz log as action is performing successfully(No error messages at screen),  when we run the mrp it displays under 'Scheduled or running Jobs' panel, Status as pending but when we refresh the page, displays ' Last Job' panel  and Status Id as Failed.  Screenshot is attached herewith for your reference

Thanks

Hi,

unfortunately the log you sent is not what we need.

Please search in you log a line similar to:

ServiceDispatcher.java:607:INFO ] [[ASync service started...- total:
0.0,since last(Begin):0.0]] - 'manufacturing / executeMrp'

and then send the errors that you see happening from there on.

Jacopo
