RE: Google Maps- Store Location

Len Shein-3
Jean-Luc,

Reference the following Jboss thread
https://developer.jboss.org/message/615116?_sscc=t#615116.

This thread explains how to fix one of your issues:

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Empty name segment is not
allowed for Ofbiz

A few other items:

Which version of Ofbiz are you using?

Before including bigfish; did you first try deploying just Ofbiz?

What are your JAVA_OPTS?

You can also reference this thread for more information on deploying Jboss
‘war’ file.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1432247/how-to-deploy-war-into-jboss-5-1-
0?rq=1

I also suggest you make a post to the Ofbiz user group
([hidden email] ); you should be able to find someone who has been
down this path before.

Regards

Len

This is the challenge I have to surmount in order to pass to my next stage.

I am attaching a log file in case ...anybody has an idea.

Jean-Luc,

The error you sent in this email is the same error you reported in your
attachment previously; which is a problem getting the longitude for the
Store Location address you have configured.

Please provide the following:

I also noticed you have Danish alphabet characters in your address
‘nørreland 12’

My suggestion would be to remove these characters from the address and Geo
Code again and re-save your Store Location. What is the GEO Code: Long/Lat
returned?

In my testing the following Long/Lat is returned:

o       Store Code: STORE_5

o       Store name: Denmark Store

o       Country: Denmark

o       Address 1: Norreland 12

o       City: Albertsund

o       State: Copenhagen City

o       Zip: 2620

o       GEO Code

o       Long: 12.5683371

o       Lat: 55.6760968

The error message indicates you were not able to get a numerical

I also noticed you have Danish alphabet characters in your address
‘nørreland 12’

My suggestion would be to remove these characters from the address and Geo
Code again and re-save your Store Location.

What is the GEO Code: Long/Lat returned?

In my testing the following is returned:

Store Code: STORE_5

Store name: Denmark Store

Country: Denmark

Address 1: Norreland 12

City: Albertsund

State: Copenhagen City

Zip: 2620

GEO Code

Long: 12.5683371

Lat: 55.6760968

Correct me if I am mistaken but I believe you are looking to replace the
'Text' description of a category which is displayed in the navigation menu
of the ecommerce site?

If so you have a few options in managing what is displayed in the navigation
menu:

*         Option 1: Standard BF Navigation Menu

*         Let BigFish render your navigation menu in text; of which
represents your catalog structure. Then in the CSS (bigFishClientSkin.css)
override the text displayed with an image.  There are many examples on the
web on how to set background-image in CSS.

*         Option 2: BF Mega Menu

*         In the BF Admin Module click Content -> Product Category Content.

*         On this list screen you have the option of adding 'Mega Menu'
content to any/all of the Top Navigation Items.  The Mega Menu content can
be defined with the content of your choosing and is totally custom.  In
ecommerce The Mega Menu content is displayed when hovering over the Top
Navigation item which has a mega menu defined.

*         Option 3: BF Super Mega Menu

*         In the BF Admin Module click Content - > Site Info ->
SI_SUPER_MEGA_MENU

*         Super Mega Menu can be defined with the content of your choosing
and is totally custom.

*         In eCommerce, if a supper mega menu is defined it will
automatically replace the entire Standard BF Navigation Menu.

Len

When I look at https://localhost:8443/osafe-admin/control/catalogManagement

it is the names that are under  /Top Navigation

Can these names be represented as the image of what they are ?

like if a catalog is called house, and one come to ecommerce front page one
se the picture of house instead of the text house.

Tks

Jean-Luc,

1. The first step would be to define which images you would like to be
displayed for each category.

a. In order to do this, you will need to log in to the Admin module and
go to Catalog -> Manage Catalog.
b. Find the Category you are looking to update in the list of
Categories.  Look all the way to the right column, "Actions", and hover over
the icon. Go to the link that says "Category image".
c. When you get to the Category image Detail page, make sure the
"Browse and Upload File" radio button is selected and press the Browse
button.  Find the desired image on your file system and Save.
d. Repeat this for each Category you would like to have an image
displayed for.

2. Next you will need to go to the Div Sequencer to make sure the
correct Divs are being displayed on the Category List Page.

a. In the Admin module, go to Admin -> Admin Tools -> Manage Div
Sequencing.  Find "CLP" in the drop down and search.
b. If you only want to display the image then you will need to display
the clpThumbImage Div and hide the others. You can do so by changing the
Seq# value of the clpThumbImage Div to "10" and changing the others to "0"
and then save.

3. After you have made all of your changes, you will need to re-index
SOLR and clear DIV Sequence Cache in order to view your changes on the
eCommerce site.

a. In the Admin module, go to Admin -> Admin Tools -> SOLR Indexing.
Then press the button that says "Re-index SOLR".
b. In the Admin module, go to Admin -> Admin Tools -> Clear Bigfish
Cache.  Find the row that has "DIV Sequencing" and click the icon all the
way to the right side in order to clear the Div Sequencing cache.

4. Now you should be able to see all of your changes on the eCommerce
site.

Please see http://bigfish.solveda.com/bfSpecs.html -> Catalog for more
information on managing the Catalog.
