So 33 seconds may be "normal" running ofbiz inside tomcat...

All of my testing has been on a FreeBSD server since that is what we will be
running it on in production.

We have the following FreeBSD packages installed:
mysql-client-5.0.20 Multithreaded SQL database (client)
mysql-connector-java-3.1.12 MySQL Connector/J: JDBC interface for MySQL
mysql-server-5.0.20 Multithreaded SQL database (server)
jdk-1.4.2p8_3       Java Development Kit 1.4.2
linux-sun-jdk-1.4.2.11 Sun Java Development Kit 1.4 for Linux

I followed the instructions @
http://www.opentaps.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=62

When I ran "ant run-install" everything "just worked".

I'd wipe everything out and start over, unless you have a very slow dialup
connection. Your demo data is missing/busted/corrupted.
