Jacques,
I spent some time looking at the "no fall-back" problem you keep mentioning, and I can't duplicate the problem. I commented out the French translation of PartyInvitation, changed my language setting to French, cleared the cache and the label fell back to en. When I uncomment the French translation of PartyInvitation (and changed the wording to make it different than English), cleared the cache and displayed the page, the French translation appeared. I repeated the steps several times and it always worked as expected. -Adrian [hidden email] wrote: > Author: jleroux > Date: Fri Sep 19 13:05:00 2008 > New Revision: 697218 > > URL: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?rev=697218&view=rev > Log: > French translation (no fall-back anymore) > > Modified: > ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml > > Modified: ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml > URL: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml?rev=697218&r1=697217&r2=697218&view=diff > ============================================================================== > --- ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml (original) > +++ ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml Fri Sep 19 13:05:00 2008 > @@ -4147,6 +4147,7 @@ > <property key="PartyInvitation"> > <value xml:lang="de">Einladung</value> > <value xml:lang="en">Invitation</value> > + <value xml:lang="fn">Invitation</value> > <value xml:lang="it">Inviti Soggetti</value> > <value xml:lang="th">à¸à¸³à¹à¸à¸´à¸</value> > </property> > @@ -4195,7 +4196,7 @@ > <property key="PartyInvitationNotValidError"> > <value xml:lang="de">Dies ist keine gültige Akteur Einladung</value> > <value xml:lang="en">This is not a valid Party Invitation</value> > - <value xml:lang="fr">Ceci est une invitation d'acteur non valide</value> > + <value xml:lang="fr">Ceci n'est pas une invitation vlable</value> > <value xml:lang="it">Questo non è un'Invito Soggetto valido</value> > <value xml:lang="th">à¸à¸µà¹à¹à¸¡à¹à¹à¸à¹à¸à¸³à¹à¸à¸´à¸à¸à¸à¸à¸à¸¥à¸¸à¹à¸¡à¸à¸¹à¹à¹à¸à¹</value> > </property> > > > |

Hi Adrian,
Yes you are right I did not reproduce too, I will remove the French translation for PartyInvitation and will look at it from time to time since the last time I got "PartyInvitation" as translation and not Invitation (same word than in English). One place where I've seen this happen, is if you select a locale that is a "sibling" locale of the default one for the system (I think _think_ that is why it is happening). For example, if I select en_UK (or rather "English (United Kingdom)") on the demo server (where the default locale is en_US) in the Order Manager I get a bunch of non-translated labels. -David On Sep 23, 2008, at 1:23 PM, Jacques Le Roux wrote: > Hi Adrian, > > Yes you are right I did not reproduce too, I will remove the French > translation for PartyInvitation and will look at it from time to > time since the last time I got "PartyInvitation" as translation and > not Invitation (same word than in English). > > Thanks > > Jacques > > From: "Adrian Crum" <[hidden email]> >> Jacques, >> >> I spent some time looking at the "no fall-back" problem you keep >> mentioning, and I can't duplicate the problem. >> >> I commented out the French translation of PartyInvitation, changed >> my language setting to French, cleared the cache and the label fell >> back to en. >> >> When I uncomment the French translation of PartyInvitation (and >> changed the wording to make it different than English), cleared the >> cache and displayed the page, the French translation appeared. >> >> I repeated the steps several times and it always worked as expected. >> >> -Adrian >> >> [hidden email] wrote: >>> Author: jleroux >>> Date: Fri Sep 19 13:05:00 2008 >>> New Revision: 697218 >>> >>> URL: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?rev=697218&view=rev >>> Log: >>> French translation (no fall-back anymore) >>> >>> Modified: >>> ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml >>> >>> Modified: ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml >>> URL: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml?rev=697218&r1=697217&r2=697218&view=diff >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> = >>> ==================================================================== >>> --- ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml >>> (original) >>> +++ ofbiz/trunk/applications/party/config/PartyUiLabels.xml Fri >>> Sep 19 13:05:00 2008 >>> @@ -4147,6 +4147,7 @@ >>> <property key="PartyInvitation"> >>> <value xml:lang="de">Einladung</value> >>> <value xml:lang="en">Invitation</value> >>> + <value xml:lang="fn">Invitation</value> >>> <value xml:lang="it">Inviti Soggetti</value> >>> <value xml:lang="th">à¸à¸³à¹à¸à¸´à¸</value> >>> </property> >>> @@ -4195,7 +4196,7 @@ >>> <property key="PartyInvitationNotValidError"> >>> <value xml:lang="de">Dies ist keine gültige Akteur >>> Einladung</value> >>> <value xml:lang="en">This is not a valid Party Invitation</ >>> value> >>> - <value xml:lang="fr">Ceci est une invitation d'acteur non >>> valide</value> >>> + <value xml:lang="fr">Ceci n'est pas une invitation >>> vlable</value> >>> <value xml:lang="it">Questo non è un'Invito Soggetto >>> valido</value> >>> <value >>> xml:lang="th">à¸à¸µà¹à¹à¸¡à¹à¹à¸à¹à¸à¸³à¹à¸à¸´à¸à¸à¸ >>> à¸à¸à¸¥à¸¸à¹à¸¡à¸à¸¹à¹à¹à¸à¹</value> >>> </property> >>> >>> >>> > |
Thanks David. I'll look into it further.
