Re: Regarding Integration From OfBiz to one of my website

Hello Jitender,

OFBiz is a ERP application which also includes e-commerce, CRM/SFA,
financial, marketing, order management etc. Think of ERP similar to SAP,
PeopleSoft etc. OFBiz is developed using Java language but you can use
the OFBiz without or minimal knowledge of Java. Front end of the
e-commerce is written using FreeMarker template language and you can
write the business logic in Groovy, BeanShell, Minilang (XML) or Java.

I cant tell you how you can integrate your application unless I know
more about what you are trying to achieve.

You can find more about the OFBiz on ofbiz.apache.org. There is a
Documentation (Wiki) section with lots of information here and there.
You can also view e-commerce demo at http://demo.ofbiz.org/ and back
office applications at http://demo.ofbiz.org/catalog/.

Thanks,

Raj

If you really need to use a legacy PHP application, it may be good to know that I should commit a new component one day or another
that will provide a PHP handler using the Querus Framework.

It's a work done by a third party and there are still some issues to solve. Unfortunately I have been victim of a slamming this week
and I have to wait one week before recovering my ADSL connection. Without it, it's a nightmare to do such works...

You mean something like eBay ? In this case I'd say not OOTB. But it's certainly possible to do without too much efforts using
Product component... You may also have a look at the eBay component and most certainly look for information in this ML

Facility inventory question

Deyan Tsvetanov
Hello,

I have a question regarding facility inventory.
I tried hard to understand how does it work but it was not good enough, so I'll need your help ;)

Let's use the demo ofbiz installation.

What am doing is:
1) Go to facility , select "My Retail Store" , click "Receive inventory"
2) Type GZ-1000  for product id, leave order id empty - doing an un-invoiced inventory receive.
3) Type some quantity - let's say 50 items. Click "Receive" in order to finish the receive process.
4) Repeat the receiving process for let's say 30 items.
5) Click the menu "Inventory items" and click "Find" button. You'll see 2 result lines ( regarding the GZ-1000 product ) - first is 50 items, 2nd is 30 items.

( Here is the spot I start loosing it :)

6) Click "Inventory" menu and click "Find". No results are found.
What I actually expected is that I saw 80 items of the GZ-1000 product. Is there a hint on doing that ? Is there any other action that
should be performed on the inventory items ? Like completing the receive process somehow or something like that ?

If I open the product page from the Catalog application and from there I go to "Inventory" I can see that there are 80 items in the "my retail store". But from the
the "Inventory" menu in the  "Facility" application I see nothing.

Thanks in advance,
Deyan

Hi Jacques Le Roux;

Yes, it should be like eBay where customer can log in and can sell their product...by adding the product by their own..

You must set (ie associate) a facilty for your product before (in your case "My Retail Store")
See https://localhost:8443/catalog/control/createProductFacility
