Required Java version? (IcedTea?)

Kenneth Porter
I saw on Slashdot today that IcedTea (the open source version of Java, now
included in Fedora 9) has passed the Java Test Compatibility Test (TCK).

What's the current Java requirement for OFBiz, and what goes wrong if one
attempts to use IcedTea?

(Open sourcing Java means more Linux servers will have Java deployed as
part of the OS distribution, which means many more potential boxes to run
OFBiz on. It's one less thing to have to learn how to install to get to a
working system.)
