Hi,
I am not able to find any documentation on screens.xml file syntax for <set>, <property-map>, variable referencing ${} etc anywhere. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
Have you check this file?

Yes I have.
XSD doesnt have enough comments about how and when to use set and other tags I mentioned originally. Surprizingly I havent received any responses, are people not using it or everyone has bought the paid documentation?

I think most people learn through examples (both framework/examples and the apps in applications and specialpurpose) and the various resources people have posted on docs.ofbiz.org and other sites. That's based on limited feedback though... so experienced from others would be interesting to hear... -David On Jan 3, 2008, at 11:33 AM, Ritz123 wrote: > > Yes I have. > > XSD doesnt have enough comments about how and when to use set and > other tags > I mentioned originally. > > Surprizingly I havent received any responses, are people not using > it or > everyone has bought the paid documentation? > > > mikeymwong wrote: >> >> Have you check this file? >> >> Framework/widget/dtd/widget/dtd/widget-screen.xsd >> >> Mike >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Ritz123 [mailto:[hidden email]] >> Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 07:08 >> To: [hidden email] >> Subject: Screens.xml file syntax documentation >> >> >> Hi, >> >> I am not able to find any documentation on screens.xml file syntax >> for >> <set>, <property-map>, variable referencing ${} etc anywhere. >> >> Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. >> >> Thanks >> -- >> View this message in context: >> http://www.nabble.com/Screens.xml-file-syntax-documentation-tp14588318p14588 >> 318.html >> Sent from the OFBiz - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. >> >> >> >> > > -- > View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Screens.xml-file-syntax-documentation-tp14588318p14602543.html > Sent from the OFBiz - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > smime.p7s (3K) Download Attachment |
Definitely it will be interesting to know.
On a similar note, I did come across one of your posts David, where you had mentioned (Dec 2006 I believe) that in a year or so you would have recovered the cost etc. for the documentation and chances are that would be made available to the community?

I use widgets almost exclusively.
This being a community based project, documentation only happens when someone does it. for myself I use the xml editor, the code I find in the widget folders. and the ML emails that discuss various stuff.
