Hi guys,
I think the implementation of serialised inventory should improved. 1) the current implementation is useless. I mean we can not specify the serial nbr in inventory receiving screen. Do I have to create an inventory item first before receiving? If so, shouldn’t we receive by inventory item id instead? 2) how can I receive hundreds of serial nbrs of a product? Do I have to create all inventory item first? that is not operable. I think we can just add serial nbr from and to input text box on the receiving form, if specified then, create all inventory item accordingly. In this case we just receive serialised product for each location once. It is much simpler. If there is similar functions in ofbiz which i probably missing, sorry but please guide me to it. 3) when I try to receive the product GZ-1000 in demo data, the location can not be changed, can only select from a drop-down list. Why? Thanks in advance. Regards, Marvin |

Hi all,
While thinking about OFBIZ-7299 and OFBIZ-7300 I remembered this message. What do you think about it? I think we should at least improve the basis of serialised inventories and products (without yet speaking about the basis of traceability) BTW Marvin, if you are still there, did you build something around it? Thanks! Hello Jacques,
We currently improve the serialised product management (not yet finished) and think that we may propose it to the community. We improved : - Serial Product receipt - Serial Product management in picking list I think it could be a good start about receiving and sending serial product. Julien. Thanks Julien,
Great news, we need to be careful about OFBIZ-7299 and OFBIZ-7300 then Jacques Le 15/06/2016 à 12:23, Julien NICOLAS a écrit : > Hello Jacques, > > We currently improve the serialised product management (not yet finished) and think that we may propose it to the community. > > We improved : > - Serial Product receipt > - Serial Product management in picking list > > I think it could be a good start about receiving and sending serial product. > > Julien. > > > On 12/06/2016 11:55, Jacques Le Roux wrote: >> Hi all, >> >> While thinking about OFBIZ-7299 and OFBIZ-7300 I remembered this message. >> >> What do you think about it? >> >> I think we should at least improve the basis of serialised inventories and products (without yet speaking about the basis of traceability) >> >> BTW Marvin, if you are still there, did you build something around it? Should we create a JIRA issue for it?

Yes but I wonder if we have not recently created something similar but with a lesser scope. Maybe it was only related to lotId and yes we should
create one Thanks Jacques Le 05/07/2016 à 18:34, james yong a écrit : > Should we create a JIRA issue for it? > > > Jacques Le Roux wrote >> Hi all, >> >> While thinking about OFBIZ-7299 and OFBIZ-7300 I remembered this message. >> >> What do you think about it? >> >> I think we should at least improve the basis of serialised inventories and >> products (without yet speaking about the basis of traceability) >> >> BTW Marvin, if you are still there, did you build something around it? >> Thanks! >> >> Jacques >> >> Le 07/10/2014 à 15:19, >> bsetsu@.co >> a écrit : >>> Hi guys, >>> >>> I think the implementation of serialised inventory should improved. >>> 1) the current implementation is useless. >>> I mean we can not specify the serial nbr in inventory receiving >>> screen. >>> Do I have to create an inventory item first before receiving?
