Social engineering for beginners

mikeross1884
Yo! I came across a suspicious message and realized how easy it is to fall for the scammers’ tricks. I want to learn how social engineering works so as not to be deceived. Does anyone know a site where all this is described competently and in detail — with examples and recommendations?

Recently, an "old friend" with a new page wrote to me on Telegram and started asking something about money. This confused me, and I decided to double-check. It turned out to be a fake. This incident prompted me to study how such schemes are built. I came across a great article — https://itsupplychain.com/social-engineering-scams-explained-a-thorough-guide/. It explains how scammers operate and what signals should be recognized immediately. Now I am much more attentive to any messages, even if they look familiar. I recommend reading this to everyone who often uses social networks.

Hi! Not long ago, I encountered a situation where someone tried to deceive me through a phone call. It was a classic case of social engineering, and fortunately, I realized in time that something was wrong. Do you ever have moments when you doubt what is happening?
