Third question, service products.

Xavier Olivella
Hello guys,

I have another question, this one related to products.

We sell a kind of product that is an hour package, I mean, a customer
can purchase 10, 20 or 40 service hours in advance (getting a better
hour/price each time) and I need the following things:

- Invoice is made at purchase time
- Half-hour granularity
- As hours are getting done, we need some kind of document with customer
number, order number, date and number of hours "spent".
- Obviously package hour "countdown" must be modified.
- It's no necessary (but desirable) that customers can order it in the
web site.

I am thinking about doing this with product packages and different
shipping orders, but I'm not sure this is the best solution.

Any Idea?

Thanks a lot.

This is what the WorkEffort stuff is meant for, including time sheets, billing, etc.

Of course, for ANYTHING where you have very specific and inflexible business requirements and processes you're just not going to find something that is exactly everything you need. What you're describing can certainly be done with OFBiz (as with your other questions), but some customization is definitely required to automate what you're describing (unless you want to manage it manually).

Oh! great! I really didn't looked at this module yet, so I'll take a
look.

Ok, thanks a lot for your help.
