Hi Ravi

We'll check when the ASF confirms they have received it and once that is done we will modify your access on the confluence and also add you to the Jira Contributors group.

Thanks

Re: To Become a Contributor

One simple question(Probably for Sharan or Jacques):

It seems that ASF team has accepted Ravi's iCLA and granted permission to
Ravi for individual contribution to ASF projects. His user name does exists
here: http://people.apache.org/unlistedclas.html

*My Question:* It seems that in some cases ASF guys acknowledge us on
private list if they approve someones iCLA and sometime they doesn't do
that(may be due to busy schedule). Like recently we have added Aditi and
Rehan on Contributor list page but still their confirmation receipt from
ASF is pending. Do we need to ask ASF to send confirmation receipt for
those candidates as well or we it is presumed that if any of the user name
does exists on page -> http://people.apache.org/unlistedclas.html then
their iCLA has been granted and we should not wait for confirmation receipt
from ASF side.

Thanks!

Re: To Become a Contributor

Hi Ashish

I think you are right - the standard process tends to be that once an ICLA is received by the ASF, the Secretary sends a notification to the private list saying that it has been filed. The Secretary then adds the person to the ASF ICLA list.

Sometimes, as you say, people get added to the ASF list without a notification being sent to the private list (so yes, perhaps they are busy or it has been mistakenly missed).

I think that if a person isn't on the ASF list then from an ASF perspective, their ICLA has not been officially received or confirmed. In this case I would suggest that the person who sent the ICLA send an email reminder to the ASF Secretary asking for confirmation that it has been received.

Thanks
Sharan
