Does anyone here have any clue why the demo server build would be failing?

Currently trunk is slow, and I'm not sure why. We will see tomorrow morning now (it's already late here)
But it builds since I systematically revert r1202849 from where the build problem comes. You may try that if you get the same, I thought you were aware Jacques From: "Tolu Williams" <[hidden email]> > Does anyone here have any clue why the demo server build would be failing? > > -- > View this message in context: http://ofbiz.135035.n4.nabble.com/Trunk-demo-error-tp4079709p4162281.html > Sent from the OFBiz - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
I check using tracert. Use tracetroute.org to test from different places.
corv-car1-gw.nero.net [207.98.64.177] ofbiz-vm2.apache.org [140.211.11.51] showed high time to live above 200 ms Jacques Le Roux sent the following on 12/5/2011 2:21 PM: > Currently trunk is slow, and I'm not sure why. Thanks BJ,
We are not speaking about 200 ms time failure, but 16+ secs. Here is last Nagios alert *** ASF Nagios *** Notification Type: PROBLEM Host: ofbiz-vm.apache.org Address: 140.211.11.41 Service: HTTP - Ofbiz Demo Trunk State: CRITICAL Info: CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 16 seconds Date/Time: Tue Dec 6 04:22:15 UTC 2011 (received at 5h22 here, in France) I guess the reason is someone using APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML. But I wonder though because I guess before (recent Hans's changes?) people were using also APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML. And also IIRW we had few days w/out issues after Hans's change. So I'm baffled and w/out enough time to look at it at the moment (not today at least...) Just FYI (by and large), each corresponds to a request, not that much but maybe related (for admins: we would have to cross check with Nagios alerts... at 1st glance I'm less and less sure it's related...) 2611:2011-12-05 06:52:52,847 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-17) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 7415:2011-12-05 08:36:12,708 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-160) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 8687:2011-12-05 08:55:37,971 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-199) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 14860:2011-12-05 10:31:07,527 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-309) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 15424:2011-12-05 10:46:47,292 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-340) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 17239:2011-12-05 11:18:00,275 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-377) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 17456:2011-12-05 11:18:59,847 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-377) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 17541:2011-12-05 11:19:39,360 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-377) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 18234:2011-12-05 11:30:01,507 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-420) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 26166:2011-12-05 12:00:49,889 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-467) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 38057:2011-12-05 12:45:18,075 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-511) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 42072:2011-12-05 13:05:46,479 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-536) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 46581:2011-12-05 13:13:49,865 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-546) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: apache_ofbiz_html 49054:2011-12-05 13:27:20,389 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-554) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 55941:2011-12-05 14:08:16,154 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-630) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 68403:2011-12-05 15:28:30,130 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-656) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 78151:2011-12-05 15:51:34,681 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-742) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 78809:2011-12-05 15:51:38,000 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-727) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 90873:2011-12-05 15:54:10,921 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-749) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 95859:2011-12-05 16:19:05,524 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-859) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 133316:2011-12-05 19:56:31,139 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-1321) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 179010:2011-12-05 22:48:52,936 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-1558) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 247371:2011-12-06 04:05:43,593 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-2081) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: apache_ofbiz_html 253717:2011-12-06 04:50:01,564 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-2259) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML 254570:2011-12-06 04:53:59,111 (ajp-bio-/0.0.0.0-8009-exec-2277) [ CmsEvents.java:145:INFO ] Path INFO for Alias: APACHE_OFBIZ_HTML Jacques >From: "BJ Freeman" [hidden email] >I check using tracert. Following an issue due to http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6973402 the 18 December 2010, we switched from java version "1.6.0_22" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_22-b04) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 17.1-b03, mixed mode) Old Location: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/ To java version "1.6.0_23" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_23-b05) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode) New Location: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sunjdk/jdk1.6.0_23/ JAVA_HOME was then and is still now: $ echo $JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sunjdk/jdk1.6.0_23 Recently Hans updated Ubuntu and kernel http://markmail.org/message/oluem6ve5xie3i4w and I see java version "1.6.0_26" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode) So it's java default But we still run our 3 OFBIz instances under jdk1.6.0_23 24178 ofbiz 20 0 1760m 985m 19m S 6.8 24.8 23:05.60 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sunjdk/jdk1.6.0_23/bin/java -Xms128M -Xmx768M -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Dofbiz.admin.port=10523 -Do 4858 ofbiz 20 0 1208m 331m 9904 S 0.4 8.4 12:37.63 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sunjdk/jdk1.6.0_23/bin/java -Xms128M -Xmx768M -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Dofbiz.admin.port=30523 -Do 5675 ofbiz 20 0 1353m 839m 10m S 0.0 21.2 174:31.93 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sunjdk/jdk1.6.0_23/bin/java -Xms128M -Xmx768M -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Dofbiz.admin.port=20523 -Do Since we point to JAVA_HOME to use jdk1.6.0_23 I don't remember exactly for how long we run 3 instances (Christian did it I beleive) and I don't know if it's a memory/resource issue, we are low on that... No more time for that today... Jacques > Cheers, > > -- > Erwan de FERRIERES > www.nereide.biz |
