You're on a deserted island. Which ERP do you take with you? I'd
initially be thinking OFBiz, because I can be passing the time and learning it while I wait for a rescue plane, but... I get nothing when I launch if there's no internet connection. Is there a way to launch in isolation? I'm on the road, minus the internet usually, but then I got to thinking that some of the more paranoid customers where I used to work kept their servers offline; the server and any clients connecting to it were on networks totally separate from the rest of the computers at their business. Do I really need to be connecting to the things $OFBIZ_HOME/runtime/logs/console.log is indicating? I haven't tooled around a whole bunch, but this morning (after the server was up and running) it looked like I was able to log in and click a couple links without the server able to access the internet (as in, I shut my phone's hot spot off). Are these external calls necessary just to fire the server up? Is there a way I should have gotten them sitting locally first? Google Guava appears to be what I'm missing. Build file '/ofbiz/build.gradle' line: 976 * What went wrong: A problem occurred evaluating root project 'ofbiz'. > Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':runtime'. > Could not resolve com.google.guava:guava:[11.0,). ./gradlew --offline
This question is perhaps better suited for the user mailing list. On Nov 14, 2017 6:21 PM, "Craig Parker" <[hidden email]> wrote: You're on a deserted island. Which ERP do you take with you? I wasn't sure, so I aimed here. I edited my systemd scripts and seem to
be off and running. I was not aware of the --offline switch, and now I've found some older mailing list messages about it. Thank you Sir! You're welcome!
For an exact definition of the purpose of each mailing list you can check [1] More specifically, the dev@ list "is strictly for topics related to the design and development of the OFBiz Project itself." Reminder to self: update the (great) README.md for this switch :-)

Yeah I learned this one the hard way after boarding a 12 hour flight.
Fortunately I had a few old copies of OFBiz lying around from back in the good old days.
