Update on Business Process Documention

Hi,

This is to update you all about the OFBiz Business Process Documentation
Reference Book. Here is the Jira ticket OFBIZ-9596
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-9596> for the same.

Currently, I am working on Sales Order Management Process Overview
<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/S5JjB> document in which, I have
added process overview, business purpose, and activity diagrams for Create
Sales Order process.

I would like to welcome the community to come, review and provide
suggestions, feedbacks, and improvements as required. Your feedbacks will
surely help me improving the document and generating the fruitful outcome.

nicely.

I would like to request community members to review and provide their
feedback mainly on the content being added in Business Process overview
documents.

sub tickets for more details on the plan being executed here. I am pretty
sure together we'll build so much of good asset for OFBiz.

The plan is to describe the process flow for all scenarios of sales order
process which have business significance like Create Order, Order Status,
Payment Terms etc.

I was wondering whether updating an order is a significant process to
document or not, and also do we need to describe the process flow for the
same?

Please share your thoughts on this.

In general ,
Where do we document the journey of a Customer from a
Lead/Opportunity stage to the stage of Order Entry ( Sales conclusion ) .
I guess that is what is the primary activity of most sales team.

process, and in OFBiz it is under SFA (Sales force automation) component

currently, I am working on all possible scenarios of *Sales Order* Process
like creating a sales order, updating an order, payment terms etc. and I
was looking for some suggestions on *Update Order* process flow to be
documented or not?

Edit/Update Order is common process with condition that order should be in
editable status. Editable statuses can be created or approved or hold. But
order in cancel or completed status will not allow to edit.

Also we should consider status changes as part of document (probably Update
Order). +1 for documenting the Update Order process flow.
