Hi Every one
I'm trying to set up promotions I have two questions : could someone please confirm if the free shipping promo has been purpusly commented in Sequoia 0.8 ? cause I couldn't get it to work and by diving into it that's what I found with a nice comment about redoing it if a total amount discount is applied the applied category or product actions limiters aren't applied ? because I would like to have -10€ from total amount when products come from a certain category unfortunelty the discount is allways applied ?? is there a precise documentation on promotion possibilities and configurations? cause the tool is quite open but it seems some combinations don't go through Thanks for the thoughts Tibor _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.ofbiz.org/mailman/listinfo/users |

Nothing has been commented out. Opentaps 0.8 is an older version of
OFBiz, but promotions should be about the same. I agree though it is very tricky to set these things up. Well, the shipping discount promotion is commented out, and has been for a long time (2-3 years). So far, no one has cared enough about it to re-write it... Probably because most use shipping rules for this instead of a promotion. A quick mailing list search will probably result in finding some text almost exactly as I've written above. One additional bit just in case it helps someone... We've found that setting the product's "Charge Shipping" field as an effective way to run free shipping promotions on certain products.
