having the conversations lately about understanding ofbiz I thought
about adding to the webtools 1)using the format of the static entity page have one that selects by component then select a menu level then select type of info like roles, security settings, and entity relationships as a graph. |
Or each component could have a Configure tab that is enabled with the
appropriate admin permission. -Adrian On 9/20/2010 2:27 PM, BJ Freeman wrote: > having the conversations lately about understanding ofbiz I thought > about adding to the webtools > 1)using the format of the static entity page > have one that selects by component then select a menu level > then select type of info like > roles, security settings, and entity relationships as a graph. |

Hi BJ,
I like the idea of displaying them as graphs Will the graphs be drawn with javascript? Regards, James

I was thinking more of an applet that takes the entity definitions and
graphs them. the FTL would build the input to the applet from the entitydef files. there is a way to detach the applet from the browser so if you want you can call up many as you want so see them. I can see there also, have to come up with an context sensitive method
like help. I like the idea of having in one place. both would work since your idea could call on the code in webtools. ========================= BJ Freeman Strategic Power Office with Supplier Automation <http://www.businessesnetwork.com/automation/viewforum.php?f=52> Specialtymarket.com <http://www.specialtymarket.com/> Systems Integrator-- Glad to Assist Chat Y! messenger: bjfr33man Adrian Crum sent the following on 9/20/2010 3:00 PM: > Or each component could have a Configure tab that is enabled with the > appropriate admin permission. > > -Adrian > > On 9/20/2010 2:27 PM, BJ Freeman wrote: >> having the conversations lately about understanding ofbiz I thought >> about adding to the webtools >> 1)using the format of the static entity page >> have one that selects by component then select a menu level >> then select type of info like >> roles, security settings, and entity relationships as a graph. > |

Actually I have code that draws neural networks that I was planning to
adapt to this concept. was just showing what I had in mind did not plan on using their code.
