What is right with Apache OFBiz 17.12.03 -Multi-Tenant Setup

This post was updated on .
Ah finally I got to do something on OFBiz, that it took only an hour.

the readme file in the OFBiz directory seems very helpful for this task(still can not tell if it was recently updated) , combined with another source

You read those 2 files a few times - setup your data bases - following the install command to a tee and understand it and 45 minutes later - OFBiz - is loaded with the capability of running 2 companies.

you also need to set the general.properties file to allow multitenant to Y (yes)

I could almost feel the Gods of Stress and Disappoint leaving me shoulders - finally.

The only issue is how to get out of each company with ease - I can get into the second company - but getting into the original is now an issue. It just won't allow me...

You really need to make a mental note of logging out of one company and then trying to get into the other.

The main company does not seem to require any tenant entry to log in - still using admin/ofbiz - I see this being an issue, till you get the hang of it.

Well finally something easy to deal with -lol.

Now - uploading old business info and record into OFBiz - is a nightmare - although functional (maybe) the coders enoyed not making it easy for the average user.

Much like a driverless car - where anyone one can set into a car - totally works and the user does not need to know or involve anyone else to operate it. That is because all the smart technology is invisible to the average idiot. That is when you know you did something right.

But these coders - they are not people people. They get off on feeling needed and leaving you more confused if you ask for assistance.

A prime example - when I needed to get my GL accounts going to install the chart of accounts but could not find out how.

Here is a link with a correct spot on response - and the end of the link- but look at the responses prior and the commentary on them from Jacques Le Gris - just enough to make you cry -one tells the user to buy a book - then there is the master piece - a 2 page response on XML - nothing to do with the issue - but yet JLG tells the user - ya that's it - LMAO

That goodness people like Sharan Foga that know what they are speaking of.
