correct way to set eventMessage in a service?

snowch
Hi Forum,

What is the correct way to set eventMessage in a service so that I can give users an update message when they create/update/delete records?

Many thanks,

Chris

can you give more detail
what type of service, mini lanquage or java?
Update as in the end of the service?
You can find examples for both in the code

Hi BJ,

In java, I am getting the result I need by using:

        return ServiceUtil.returnSuccess("Added contact history record.");

This displays the event message to the user.

I'm now trying to do the equivalent from a minilang service.

Many thanks,

Chris

look in the
/framework/minilang/dtd/simple-methods.xsd
search for error-list-name
there is a note there.

Found it:

<string-to-list string="My response message" list-name="successMessageList"/>
