Erwan, let me say i appreciate your contributions being it Tomcat, or
portal or the gannt chart and others. The portal improvement look fine, however the maintenance of any portal page from any user does not belong in myportal (specific for a user) but more in webtools i would say. What do you think? Thanks again. Regards, Hans -- Ofbiz on twitter: http://twitter.com/apache_ofbiz Myself on twitter: http://twitter.com/hansbak Antwebsystems.com: Quality services for competitive rates. |

What do you think? > Hi Hans and all, We've been thinking of this too. But, as webtools are more for administrative tasks, I prefered to keep them in myportal. There is a permission on the menu item, so this shouldn't be a problem. If some others think this should also moved to webtools, then I would move them. Hi Erwan,
thank you for adding this feature. It is really useful. In any case I do agree with Hans that this screen should be moved to the WebTools. This screen deals with portals that are defined in the framework and the framework itself should allow to administrate the portals regardless of any other application. Please consider that MyPortal is an application that we should try to remove at the end. Portals should be used on every application main page and not in the MyPortal application only. -Bruno 2010/5/2 Erwan de FERRIERES <[hidden email]> > Le 02/05/2010 09:51, Hans Bakker a écrit : > > Erwan, let me say i appreciate your contributions being it Tomcat, or >> portal or the gannt chart and others. >> >> The portal improvement look fine, however the maintenance of any portal >> page from any user does not belong in myportal (specific for a user) but >> more in webtools i would say. WebTools -> Configuration
seems a good place to me for the Portal management. BTW I remembered that also Label Manager was there but I connot find it anymore.... -Bruno 2010/5/2 Bruno Busco <[hidden email]> > Hi Erwan, > thank you for adding this feature. All other main page links have been made reachable from the menu also. This would allow to replace the actual webtools main page with a portal page and all the pages will still be available. -Bruno |
