extending entities

snowch
I need entities to hold party and partyRelationship information, but I need to keep the data in these entities separate from the normal party and partyRelationship data.  I.e. I don't want my new data to be viewable anywhere in the stock ofbiz screens.

Is there a way of extending entity definitions other than making a plain copy of the party and partyRelationship entities in my own application?

Many thanks...

Re: extending entities

Chris,
To extend the entity definition you can use ;
<extend-entity .../> tag in the entitymodel.xml of your own applications it
will override your existing entity definition.
To add some more attributes or override some relations can be achieved thru
its <field../> and <relation./> sub tags.

Hope the above information helps !!!
