inventory --- physical inventory

Heidi Dehaes - Olagos
Hello,

Can anyone explain me the difference between inventory and physical
inventory.
These are also separated tables in the entity in OFBiz.

What is the relation between them?

How must it be used on a business level? (not technical)

regards,
Heidi & team

inventory is what you have from receiving and shipping
physical inventory is from a actual count of what is in the warehouse.
so you do an annual inventory and put in what you have and create a
variance from what the inventory says you have.

The data model books are really good for giving you an overview of the
data model used by ofbiz
