I'm closing this ticket.

It's based on an now outdated situation (we do not have specialpurpose anymore) and all tests regarding this work are running successful without the plugins (former specialpurpose).

If needed, we can always open a new Jira linked to this, using the current codebase/structure and providing proper patches.
