It looks like the cause of the issue is mentioned hereĀ [

Thus using the upgraded Birt runtime version might solve the issue.
But there is a little problem that we are using [ViewServlets|[
https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.eclipse.birt.runtime/viewservlets/4.5.0]] version 4.5.0, which is dependent on birt version 4.4.1. And it seems that there is no other version of it which uses higher Birt runtime.
Please put forward your views/solutions, if the details sound relevant. :)
