For IPv4 it should be better to not force it OOTB. Since this can be only done [once when Java start|https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/net/doc-files/net-properties.html] I suggest to set it in start.properties.

Also I'm not sure we can qualify a cluster running 2 instances on the same machine w/o LB ahead. So IMO this needs to be tested on a real cluster before being committed.
