You work is quite appreciated, believe me.
Since you are working on a packaged version of OFBiz (R16.11.04) you can't easily contribute patches. I'd suggest that you use the trunk version and make your changes there in order to create patches that can be used by us to fix not only the R16.11.04 but also R17 branch and the trunk. For bugs we actually patch the trunk 1st and backport on release branches after.
Then if you use Git, use rather "git diff —no-prefix" to create Subversion (SVN) compatible patches. From SVN it's straightforward.
