Then I agree your patch is (maybe) a step in the right direction. I say maybe because I think we have a problem with OFBIZ-7357 and I can test all I'd like to.
But what I reported was something else. This is what I see after applying your patch (I use a dark theme)

As you can see, once I have selected the 2 options, a "Select Unit of Measure" dropdown surges. Obviously this is not wanted, did you not notice it?
