Added two patches for review:
* framework patch with the updated integration and the marker fix
* example plugin patch with GeoPoint correction and use of the OpenLayers CSS
Please review and test.
I wonder if we should backport this to 17.12 because of the fix? Would be a nice addition too, I think.
