Hi Jacques,
Thank you for providing the insight and the attached chunks.
As always it is not about one contributor undertaking everything, but rather helping others not having to go through all the motions you had to through to have it fixed for the previous branch (r17). It is about creating opportunities for other contributors to do more. And the more information provided helps in that aspect.
One other question. From your comments in this ticket you committed to trunk and r17. How about r18?
