More generally, we decided to maintain the embedded documentation (.md and .adoc) in order to deliver it with the next release, ie currently still R17. This is reflected in the not yet officially available online documentation at
https://ci.apache.org/projects/ofbiz/site/ofbizdoc/ and
https://ci.apache.org/projects/ofbiz/site/pluginsdoc/.
I think we will not release R17 but R18. I also think that we should not continue to maintain .md files but move them to .adoc. Even a number of .md files should be removed or at least adapted IMO, the ones for each component.
And finally, yes we should keep this information (created with OFBIZ-9902) up to date
