Pierre, I think you confused getSubSubContentWithPermCheck and getSubContentWithPermCheck
Priya, indeed nor getSubSubContentWithPermCheck, nor getSubContentWithPermCheck are used OOTB. I think we can safely close the 2 related issues as won't do and removed all the references of the 2 services. They were introduced by Al Byers in 2007 and, like some other stuff, were never used.
