I also wrote my own REST servlet implementation for OFBiz. Some client
frameworks expect the CRUD mapping to PUT, GET, POST and DELETE to work. It
would be nice if we could support that. I also implemented Accept header to
specify the format of the returned data as CSV, JSON, XML or even PDF.
Pluggable response types ended up being something I used a lot.
