I have added new version of the patch, which now adds support for Acctg Trans Entry Type Id, and it works with currently latest SVN version.

I still think this is a useful patch.

btw, could somebody explain why updateAcctgTrans service allows to modify posted transactions? If it wouldn't then there wouldn't be any imbalance risk mentioned above.

If updateAcctgTrans should be able to modify posted transactions, then isn't it enough that the transaction editing screen doesn't show posted transactions, thus practical risk that somebody would change posted transaction is minimal?
