MMm, I had a quick look:

It works in R10.04 see https://demo-stable.ofbiz.apache.org/webpos/control/OpenTerminal
It does not in R12.04 (no action is taken when entering value eitehr by button or enter key, and you can't cancel)
It works in trunk, see http://demo-trunk.ofbiz.apache.org:8080/webpos/control/Manager

I have no time to digg in this now...
