The configuration option I mentioned is done directly in the log4j2.xml file for which there are docs online maintained by the Log4j community: in my opinion we should do all the logging configuration there (and update our docs to point to these documents) rather than trying to provide OFBiz specific configurations for the same; in this way we will have less code to maintain and it will be easier to upgrade in the future; also: working directly with log4j config files will give users more flexibility and people that already know log4j will not have to learn how to do the same in ofbiz.
