Yes, such roles (except Manufacturer) can applicable in an organisation and its manufacturing and warehousing related business processes. But, only a manufacturer (internal or external) is directly related to an entire lot.
The others roles can only be related to parts of the lot (via inventory items, and inventory items) at best. E.g. when a good is externally manufactured, the persons involved in inspection can only assess inventory items the - internal - company has stock. They can't be in control of, or otherwise asserting something about goods that are not under the influence (or control) of the - control - company.
