So rendering png instead of svg could do it, I will try.

Ha, it seems updating [Birt from 3.4.2 to at least 4.2.1|http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/28726-charts-in-firefox-1801/] would do it but this might be a problem, I remember Chatree telling me something about that.
