Michael Brohl commented on OFBIZ-6243:
--------------------------------------

What about this Jira and the subtasks?
Following the discussion, I see that there are objections to put these in the project and that a discussion and maybe a vote should be started. On the other side, about 2/3 of the subtasks are already committed?

I don't think this is a valid approach and suggest to revert and discuss first.

On the subject itself: I generally like the idea to have some basic readme's which point to more comprehensive web pages. But before we do this, we should already have these web pages. In the moment, there is not much added in the web pages. If I were a user, look at the readme promising more information and then find myself on a web page without comprehensive information, I would feel fooled.

So, I support the effort but do not agree with the approach and the quality.

> A readme should be the first starting point of each component for developers have references to the placeholder in the wiki, in jira and in svn/viewvc
