Hi Christian, are you sure you are not going too far by replacing a fo.ftl by widgets? Do we really need that? Would we have the same flexibililty than with Freemarker?
BTW normally we are supposed to discuss such changes with the community on the dev ML before creating a Jira issue and working on it...
Also minor and unrelated but why not using sub-tasks here rather than "is related to" links?
