Okay just to state for the record and anyone checking this Jira, the reason for this Jira is simple, if you disable the specialpurpose components then tests fail. The reason they fail is because some tests in the core components depend on demo data defined in the ecommerce component.
So, there are multiple solutions (all of them are fine by me):
- move the data from ecommerce to lower components
- refactor the tests
- refactor the data as per your above suggestion to remove duplication etc ...
- A combo of the above.
Whatever is the solution, the end result is that every component has its data and no componwnt calls data from other components.
