No seriously, we need a bootstrap and what the Gradle project recommends in this case is to use the Gradle Wrapper https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/gradle_wrapper.html

BTW, about the daemon and why you can't use it on CI servers https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/gradle_daemon.html
