Pierre Smits commented on OFBIZ-7783:
-------------------------------------
From an adopter's viewpoint, I don't care what the other adopters require for their environments. Some could feel ok to build anew the OFBiz implementation in SIT/QA/UAT/PROD, some could feel not ok to do so. That all depends on whatever GRC policies and procedures the adopter has.
But as a contributor to this project I am looking at what the project can and should deliver to existing adopters (visavis their process regarding upgrading in light of OFBiz conventions applied everywhere with respect to previous releases - which includes more than just code) and to new adopters (OFBiz conventions are also found in books/wiki pages/code examples, etc).
Thus, getting the best of both words (control over code by the project vs flexibility for adopters) is important to me as a contributor.
That includes not having to replace e.g. build.gradle with a version that the adopter requires, but offer options (in the code) to extend it.
> External library files are not in the OFBiz folder structure.

> With the implementation of the external library download feature of gradle/gradlew, the external libraries (jar files) are not in the folder structure any more.
> They should reside there, like before.
