[jira] [Commented] (OFBIZ-7898) Create a (short term) Gradle "cleanAnt" task to remove old build dirs

Taher Alkhateeb commented on OFBIZ-7898:
----------------------------------------

Does the description have to be this long? It looks kinda bad when I do ,/gradlew tasks

Also, the task does not belong to any category of tasks so in ./gradlew it shows up under "other tasks". Not a big deal but might be something to consider.

> The idea is to adapt the "old" Ant "clean*" targets in order to allow to remove old build dirs. It's not a problem if you have done an Ant clean just before removing Ant whith a "svn up" but I guess most of us did not.
> We will then also remove the related svn:ignore (build dirs)

Great to see progress on the Gradle "cleanAnt" task—keeping the build environment clean is crucial, especially when transitioning from legacy Ant setups. For devs managing Android projects or APK testing alongside, tools from Smart APK Play can streamline app deployment and compatibility checks.
