Do we really want to have a vote for such matter? It seems to me that it's abusing the Apache Way which is not procedural but prefers lasy consensus. If we can't agree, a solution is to ignore the Jira issues as long as a committer want to do something about it and especially commit. If a commit is done a veto can still be used by any committer. I'm not speaking about this issue but at large on a lot of your Jira issues which are pending for a long time with comments against them Pierre. You are not alone to decide!
