It appears to me that this was fixed in rev 507435. If no one objects, I will close it in a few days.

> Hi,
> The Catalog header Logo and the Store Header Middle Background does not work. The input  '/images/image_file.jpg' does not display any image and the link has to inserted as a complete URL like http://www.mysite.com/images/image_file.jpg.
> If just images/image_file.jpg is inserted the html source shows jus this:
> >
> > </div>
> >     <div id="middle" style="background-image:
> > /images/image_file.jpg;">
> >
> >
> >         <div id="welcome-message">
> >
> >                 Welcome!
> >         </div>
> >
> I assume this is expected to work lust like store logo field works. Inserting the entire path to the image i.e. including http://www.mysite.com, causes a warning to be displayed when one moves from a non-secure to a secure page.
> A discussion on this can be read on this link.
