Well, svn externals could be an implementation detail then embedded inside pullPluginSourceAll. Anway, I'm tired of going over this painful level of detail when we did not restructure yet. I would really rather postpone this discussion until we get the pieces working first, and I really think this discussion should go in the ML given its broad scope and impact
