I think environment variables are also a good solutions but to sensitive data as I explained in http://markmail.org/message/uqzjxsx5vs2o37cw

Also I suggested at that we could have several ways suggested for DevOps in OFBiz http://markmail.org/message/gcp3tstywehm67dd
