I agree with David Welton on the mailing list discussion for this. Let's keep it open as there is no harm in doing so, and it's nice to keep track of it, so there is a good reason to keep it...
It is already flagged as Minor and a New Feature, so when looking at issues to work on with so many Major and Critical ones, it shouldn't bother anyone.
