[jira] Created: (OFBIZ-4006) jQuery Test and Bug fixing

Nicolas Malin (Jira)
jQuery Test and Bug fixing
--------------------------

                 Key: OFBIZ-4006
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-4006
             Project: OFBiz
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: ALL APPLICATIONS
    Affects Versions: jQuery
            Reporter: Sascha Rodekamp
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: jQuery

Hi everybody,

here a new Task which should be used for testing and Bugfixing in the jQuery branch, to make sure, that everything is working fine before we merge with the trunk.

I created a testing protocol in excel. The protocol containing the function/ application i tested, the status and if it is patched or not.
That is easier because the issues i found are very small and easy to fix it would be worth to create a jira entry for each one. So if you commit the patches, please test if the bug is fixed and set the field in the excel document to 'OK'. That would help me to fix the bugs ASAP.

Thanks
Sascha

Sascha,

Your jQueryBugFix-10.28.2010.patch is committed at r1028272

BTW, I saw the ui-bg_glass_100_fdf5ce_1x400.png error but did not find a quick fix and already just fixed the getDependentDropdownValues at r1028261
I removed a tab (and uselessly blank lines added) in costCenters.js

Hi Jacques, i tested the version 0.7.2 (from gitHub  [http://github.com/trentrichardson/jQuery-Timepicker-Addon]).

Our Timepicker issues doesn't occur in the demo [http://trentrichardson.com/examples/timepicker/] site but in our trunk i think i have to step a little bit into it to solve the issue. Can't be a big problem

Cheers
Sascha

-----------------------------------

    Attachment: TimepickerUpdate.patch
                TimePickerUpdateTo0.7.2.zip

Ok Jacques, here we go,

the Timepicker works now (switching the month is not a problem anymore).

To apply:
* go to the jquery plugin folder delete the jquery-ui-timepicker-addon-0.5*.js files and copy the ne timepicker 0.7.2 files from the zip file into the plugin folder
* apply the patch

That it is :-)

BTW we should thinking of removing the version number from the file name that make updates easier, what do you think. we can write the version number in the head of each JS file?

Have a good day
Sascha

Thanks Sascha,

Your patch is  committed at revision: 1029425

I did not close the issue yet, because I just realized (Erwan handled "jQuery Calendar Implementation" OFBIZ-3830) that we can't easily change the year, and even the month is a bit laborious. No sure it's a bug deal though. Before closing, I will ask on dev ML if nobody pick this comment...

Sascha,

Ah, I forgot about the plugin lib name. We have decided in the past that we should keep these names. We could discuss it in the dev ML, I also think that it's better to keep, them. Even if it's a bit more work. It's good for repo history reasons, etc.

> here a new Task which should be used for testing and Bugfixing in the jQuery branch, to make sure, that everything is working fine before we merge with the trunk.

Sascha,

The now/today issue is solved with the new plugin, but still marked as false. I tried to change but I have an older version of Excel and I prefer let you handle it.
