[jira] Created: (OFBIZ-489) Webtools display bug

Nicolas Malin (Jira)
Webtools display bug
--------------------

                 Key: OFBIZ-489
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-489
Project: OFBiz (The Open for Business Project)
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Adrian Crum
            Priority: Trivial

This is probably due to the recent conversion to screen widgets...

https://127.0.0.1:8443/webtools/control/availableServices?constraint=location@org/ofbiz/product/feature/ProductFeatureServices.xml

Box header always says " Services list for partymgr" - regardless of the service being viewed.

David E. Jones commented on OFBIZ-489:
--------------------------------------

The you're seeing is the partymgr thing? Hasn't it always been that way? It just defaults to the partymgr instance of the service engine because that is the first one loaded.

Note that each webapp has its own service engine and can have service definitions local to that webapp that aren't seen by others.

Adrian Crum commented on OFBIZ-489:
-----------------------------------

Maybe I'm confused as to what this screen is displaying. Webtools lists all of the services in OFBiz - regardless of the component:

https://127.0.0.1:8443/webtools/control/availableServices

I pick updateProductFeature:

https://127.0.0.1:8443/webtools/control/availableServices?sel_service_name=updateProductFeature

Then I click on the link to the right of "Location:"

https://127.0.0.1:8443/webtools/control/availableServices?constraint=location@org/ofbiz/product/feature/ProductFeatureServices.xml

Now I see what appears to be all of the services in ProductFeatureServices.xml.

Yet the box header says "Services list for partymgr" - which makes me scratch my head and wonder what partymgr has to do with ProductFeatureServices.xml.

I don't know if it has always been this way - I haven't spent much time in Webtools. I guess as an inexperienced user of Webtools, this appeared to me to be a bug.

David E. Jones closed OFBIZ-489.
--------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: SVN trunk
       Resolution: Invalid
         Assignee: David E. Jones

It sounds like the issue was about the display of the "partymgr" which is the name of the dispatcher and there because of why I described in my first comment.
